Overview
The wireless DHCP failure alert triggers when wireless clients repeatedly fail to obtain IP addresses from the DHCP server. This may indicate DHCP server issues, network configuration problems, or DHCP pool exhaustion.Prerequisites
- Dashboard access with Admin or Network Admin permissions
- Alert receivers configured
Configuring the alert

Configuration fields

| Alert type | Yes | Select “Wireless DHCP Failure” |
| Threshold | Yes | Number of DHCP failures that triggers the alert (default: 3) |
| Receiver | Yes | Select from configured receivers |
| Company wide | Yes | Apply to all networks or select specific networks |
| Excluded networks | No | Networks to exclude when Company wide is enabled |

What to do when you receive this alert
- Check DHCP pool utilization under Network-wide > VLANs
- Verify the VLAN associated with the SSID has DHCP enabled
- Check for IP conflicts or exhausted DHCP pools
- Review firewall logs for blocked DHCP traffic
- Contact Meter Support if the issue persists
