Overview

The WAN flap alert triggers when a WAN connection experiences repeated up/down state changes in a short period. This instability may indicate ISP issues, cabling problems, or equipment failures.

What to do when you receive this alert

  1. Check the physical connection between the Meter Firewall and ISP equipment
  2. Verify cabling is securely connected at both ends
  3. Check ISP equipment for power or status issues
  4. Contact Meter Support if WAN flapping continues
