Overview
The device boot alert triggers when a Meter device completes its boot sequence and comes online. This can indicate a device restart due to a power cycle, firmware update, or unexpected reboot.Prerequisites
- Dashboard access with Admin or Network Admin permissions
- Alert receivers configured

Configuration fields

| Enabled | Yes | Toggle to activate or deactivate the alert (default: on) |
| Label | No | Custom name for this alert instance |
| Description | No | Additional notes about this alert |
| Alert type | Yes | Select “Device Boot” |
| Device types | Yes | Select which device types trigger the alert |
| Receiver | Yes | Select from configured receivers |
| Company wide | Yes | Apply to all networks or select specific networks |
| Excluded networks | No | Networks to exclude when Company wide is enabled |

What to do when you receive this alert
Device boot alerts are often expected after maintenance windows or NOS upgrades. If you receive unexpected boot alerts:- Check if a firmware upgrade was recently scheduled
- Review power stability at the site
- Check for any related alerts (device offline, WAN down)
